Makers at the Hall is a series of talks, panel discussions and lectures that typically take place at Mechanics’ Hall in Portland, Maine – the historic home of the Maine Charitable Mechanic Association.
Inspired by these original makers and mechanical artists, this curated program invites artists, artisans and tradespeople – local Maine leaders in craft and culture, to discuss their work and give audiences a behind the scenes look at their creative process.
Now in its fourth year the program is going VIRTUAL! This allows Tandem Glass to give a studio tour, and a slide show followed by a Q&A. Make sure to check out the other speakers this year!!! They include Scott Nash and Ayumi Horie.
Previous guests have included light and sculpture artist Pandora LaCasse, violin maker Jonathan Cooper Luthier, print maker Pilar Nadal of Pickwick Press, furniture designer Doug Green, Nick and David Wallace of Wallace Pipe Organs, many more.
